The mission of the chair of ecological systems design is to “model, analyze, evaluate, and improve the resource efficiency and environmental performance of products and processes, new technologies, and consumption patterns from a systems perspective.” Topics of research at the chair include modelling of energy systems and global supply chains, life cycle analyses with applications to power production and life inventory modelling of low carbon technologies.
